I was thinking of getting one, but couldn't really afford their prices. Are they really worth it?
On paper they definately sound like the most powerful PC's around, but are they really.

Thats most likely because Alienware GIVE them their latest beasts everynow and then - for the publicity.
My Evesham PC is starting to show its age, but it still has a AMDAthlon 64 3400+, 120GB hard drive, and a Ati 9800XT. I haven't had an problems running games yet, but plan to upgrade the motherboard to allow for PCI express, and then the graphics card.
Any suggestions. I was thinking about either the NVidia 6800GT or the ATI equivilent (can't remember what it's exact name is).
I don't intend building a new one for a long long time.

£2500, What the feck have you got in it? Diamond screws??? When did you build it?
I can't imagine paying more than £1500 for a very very good PC, unless i got a hardware renderer :)
Building is the better option unless you really don't want the hassle.
