2 things I'd like to buy:

A *small* keyboard with keys that have a nice quality feel.

A digital signal-receiving tv card, cheap as possible.

Any recommendations for the keyboard, and I don't suppose anyone knows where I can beat £60 for the TV card?

Also, how does normal tv look on a pc monitor, and is there any slim chance the tv card might allow me to bypass the need for a vga box to run consoles on the monitor?

Oh, and while we're here, do you predict tft monitor prices will fall significantly or not over the next 6 months to a year?

Thanks very much.

For that price you could get a Hauppauge WinTV Theatre card for £96.59 at Oveclockers uk, which is good, or just get a Hauppauge WinTV Go for £35.19.

I had the avert tv box3 myself before I went digital and it does a fine job of displaying composite signals on a VGA display!! I recommend!!

I found some box that works as a VGA conveter, multi-thing selector and tv receiver, £90 it was.

"AVerTV Box3" it was called.

I don't think it did digital tv though. I think I'll google it to check.
If it had done it'd have been just about ideal. Except for the garish gold case.

Why a small keyboard? To save desk space. I don't really need all the extra features and stuff, I'm happy to use the mouse for that, and when I'm at uni desk space will be at a premium...

They normaly have a through feed for RF sound, but that you connect to the mic-in and if you are using any other video source you just connect directly to the mic-in on your sound card.

Try hunting for a "Y-split" composite cable from any electrical shop or market stall - it shouldn't cost more than £2.00...

I going to connect my PS2 to my PC to record some SOCOM movies of our clan.

Im going to buy http://uk.special.reserve.co.uk/q_GG2586_gcv__pinnacle__pct.html some time this week and was wondering what else would I need in order to use my TV and PC monitor at the same time.
The TV to play the game and the PC and monitor to capture it. I've heard of a VGA Box, but is there a simpler, cheaper alternative than a VGA Box???

Cheers in advance guys.

Excellent.

Do you use the pc's line-in (or sound card) part for that, or is there a line-in on the tv card too?
