Ha ha.
Ha ha ha.
One of the sketches that I submitted to ITV has been accepted, has been filmed, and will feature in their new sketch show, "Shoot the Writers".
The series starts in May, my sketch is in episode 3. No doubt when I find out when this will air, I'll let every one know more than once.
So I guess that makes me an official TV Comedy writer. ;o)
This weekend I'm going to a preview screening, to see what they've done with my words. It'll seem so strange to see something I've written performed on a big TV screen.

*runs into the chat room waving a bag aroung his head akin to Alan Partridge in the hit comedy series of the same name*
I spell 'em like I say 'em.

I ain't. Less than 100 people watched mine...
My sketches only got as far as school plays... :(

When will you find out whether your sketch is in the shortlist?
I went down to Croydon, where they were recording the laughter track for it, so they played two episodes to all of the successful writers, and recorded us laughing as we watched.
I was pleased that my sketch got a a fairly good response, with laughter at a couple of different points, which is not bad for a 2 minute sketch.
At the end, all of the writers had to pick their four favourites. The six that get the most votes will be subject to a phone vote when the series airs, so fingers crossed that mine is in the top six, then I can ask you all to vote for me!
I still don't know exactly when it will air, though the series is pencilled in to start in June, with my sketch being in episode 3.
Also, they've yet to contact people with sketches in episodes 7-12, so there's still a chance I could have more in there...
