I'm sure you all know about/have it already but gamespot seemed to think it was new news yesterday.

I get about 20secs when the download speed increases to 20+ KB/s and "calculated time left" is 15mins or so, but it will suddenly drop to 2-3 KB/s, bloody dial-up speed.
Yet the upload remains at a constant 15+ speed.

And fileplanet, you can queue for about 2hrs before you even start to download.
40mins of Blizzard downloader running and I've got 16MB so far.
Silliness, same as Steam crashing every few minutes when they started that. Do these companies not realise that "hey, lots of people like this game. Our marketing team has worked well with the programmers in promoting an excellent title. Cool! However, out tech-team seems to think that 19 people will play at once and will provide a stinky system of updating"

Great, download speed 4.12 KB/s, upload speed 10.32 KB/s

So I can't download it very well but will quite happily dish it out to others...

The Blizzard auto-updater is transfering now, but I'm getting speeds of 8-12kb per second.
For a 60.52mb patch.

*taps fingers on desk*
Might as well go out and do something less boring instead whilst it updates

Patch available now folks.
Fileplanet has it, but unless you pay $$ to subscribe, you're looking at a 68min wait to even start downloading.

I'm guessing when the servers become operational at 12, it's going to be lag hell whilst everybody downloads patch.

*rubs hands*
Whole day off to enjoy this.
And at least server downtime means I can give Bros in Arms a go for a bit, haven't touched it since I picked it up.
Or KOTORII.
Or Mercenaries.
Now do I continue with my Elf or give the zombie rogue a bash...hmmm
