I'm having pool trouble, so I thought I'd see what you thought.

My 'feel' for the table is gone - for the past few days I've lost the instinctive knowledge where to hit the cue ball, or where the CB and OB will finish.

Tonight I played 3 hours, I was potting reasonably well for maybe a quater of the time, but most of the time I sucked.
It feels like a mental block...

I don't know if you've ever had anything similar, or if you figured out how to get around it, but it's got to be worth asking, right?



And life forum topic stuff.. yeah, isn't life.. nice. Discuss?

Jees, I've had a couple of problems with backache in the past, but ribs? That sounds pretty worrying :^s

I don't know if it was only me, but i found that my ribs ached like hell everytime i got up from the table, i could feel them returning back to the normal postion, likely a problem with my stance.

*Hands paradox a tissue*
Wipe your nose. I suppose EB gave you them?


How would a tournament work? Everyone would go somewhere with a pool table and play.

I wasn't being serious though.
I prefer a challenge :^p


The stroke was feeling a little better last night, and my head feels a little 'clearer', but it still feels like a mental block there.

So long as I can shake it off fairly soon it won't be a problem - the next county game isn't for a couple of weeks yet, and the local league is even in the break between winter and summer leagues. So if it had to happen I suppose this is the best time for it :^s

But I've been growing my hair, part of me suspects that maybe it's keeping my head warmer, making my brain feel a little fuzzy.
But I don't want to just get it cut as I've been growing it for so long!
That and because part of me thinks that's an absurd theory for the cause :^)


I figure the mental side of the game, focus and concentration, has to be very important, but I can't seem to control it well enough...

Yes me too, how old are you though ?

It's not going to happen as we all live in different areas of the country, so no-one will be "thrashing" anyone else.

I've decided to take a few days off from the game. Hopefully I'll be back to normal when I try again.
