As usual, the following preview will feature some information that might help in your predictions. Also, not all drivers featured in this preview are in the Championship this year. http://www.freewebs.com/gpsr/srf1.htm for the driver line up and any other information for the SR F1 season.
San Marino is Round 4 out of the 18 races planned for this year, so it is still early days in the Championship race. At this point in the last 2 years, the driver in and around 4th to 6th places in the Championship went on to win it.
Last years race and qualifying was a total washout with rain affecting all the entire weekend. Qualifying saw Heidfeld in the Sauber take pole position, ahead of Coulthard in the McLaren and Villeneuve in the B.A.R. Out of the Championship leaders, Pizzonia managed 10th and Ralf Schumacher only got 14th in really tricky conditions. It wasn't a close session either, which is quite strange for SR F1, as top to bottom was split by 2 seconds.
The race was wet but changeable, a lot like Brazil this year. Heidfeld kept his car on the track and took a clean sweep of the weekend with a victory ahead of Wilson (NOT RACING THIS YEAR) and Button. Out of the current Championship chasers that raced last year, Ralf Schumacher and Pizzonia retired with transmission failures.

There might be a spot available soon. I usually free up a few drivers when a few people don't show any interest.
