Well, Pearce already commentates for 5 Live, and also commentated on Robot Wars when the BBC owned it. His enthusiasm is what makes him a great commentator, completely different to John Motson's obession with statistics.

Not as crap as Pearce is at commentating though =P

It was good. But Celtic really didn't do themselves any favours by going behind 10 minutes in.

And Larsson's disallowed goal was a joke. The ball was going to hit his face, so he puts his hands up. It hits his elbow and goes in. Fair enough if it isn't allowed, but then one of Villarreal's defenders handballs in the box in exactly the same way... why no penalty?
