How does working shifts affect your love life? If you are wanting to go out with someone who works a day job doesn't it get hard to keep the relationship going since everytime you have a night shift that'll be an entire day you wont see them. Even if you're on backshift chances are you wont see them the whole day. That must put a serious strain on the relationship no?

I want to join the police as you may remember when I'm 18 and a half but I want to know if you think the pay is worht it or if it even come up often as a problem? Thanks for your time in advance.

Yeh that's what I thought. I want to join the force but everyone wants a stable relationship too so I don't know if I will now. Hmmm I don't know what I'll do instead though. Probably lie in a guitar rehearsing the phrase "Any spare change mate?" day in, day out.

Not only do I not work shifts, but I'm not in a relationship right now. Regardless, here's my two cents.

Working different times from everyone else will always mess things up. I'm at college during the day then at work until 9, so I only have the weekends to see my mates. Kind of puts EVERYTHING you have planned in life on hold. God, can't wait to leave college...

You meant pithy, but didn't know what it meant regardless.
