Can you play star wars starfighter in a 2 player mode? I remember seeing a video of it running in split screen. If you can play in 2 player how do you do it?

Speaking of Star Wars, I`ve started a Star Wars story in the Future of Gaming. It has an ending, but can easlily be added to if anybody wants to continue the story.
Just in case anyone was wondering, there appears to be no extra reward for completion on Medium difficulty, nor is there any bonus for completion of all bonus missions on hard with gold.
The only thing that is left is to complete MMR and the last level on hard with golds.

Slight improvement now. I have two levels to go on hard - Midnight Munitions Run (I can reach the end, but get blown up!) and the final level. I'll keep working at it, as I`m sure there must be some sort of reward for completing it on hard!
I have about four missions to go on hard with gold medals. I have golds on the easy mode but I`m trying for the hard as well.
Is there another bonus for completing it on hard? The 2-player was alright, and the infiltrator was certainly a good reward for getting all the golds (Midnight Munitions Run was my hardest gold to get), but what will happen when all levels are complete on hard?

The last level is a swine, all the other levels I found easy but this one is more difficult. The ship which you have to destroy moves around the hangers alot. I would wait and fire all your missiles til you get to the last hanger where he wont move around again. The last hanger I think is the one after the orange generator is or that might be the last hanger I cant remeber to be honest. When you get to the last hanger then fire all of your missiles and try to kill him. If you try to fire your missiles and shot him before he gets to the last hanger he always moves on before you can get his shields down and you would ahve wasted your missiles. When you blow up the generator you can fly out of that window where the generator was. I of course tried to fly back and that ended with my ship in 100000 pieces. Also if you find it very hard use this cheat MINIME.
Having had a bit of a break from the PS2 (wedding plans, work, watching ITFC *still* being criminally underated by the media, etc....), I'm stuck on the last level. Anyone got any tips for not getting shot to pieces when you enter the hangar? I found 'Midnight Munitions Run' to be a swine as well. Then I got a gold medal straight off on the next mission..... Despite the wobbly learning curve, it's still a great game though.

Level 14 is the last mission in the game. The only mission which seems to be from the film well apart from level 13 aswell. Level 14 has you destroy all the radars, then get inside the ship blow it up. All the other levels are too simple , and then this level comes along and is very annoying. Its like going from the first enemy in say FF9 then going straight into the last boss.
the code overseer un locks everything.......have you tried using darth mauls infiltrator ship.......much faster and greater weapons than anything else. this is selectable from the bonus missions menu one the code overseer has been typed in. i also think level 14 is a bit of a stinker
