I was on holiday. I come back and Snuggly is a notable. Hurrah, I says. Then I read comments along the lines of 'Snuggly shouldn't be a notable'. Why not?

I'm off to watch Pirates of the Carribean. I hope there's a pretty good explanation when I come back.

Every single election there are people shouting about how the chosen person shouldn't be notable.

Grandprix got it in the neck with all that conspiracy stuff about how he got all the visitors of the WWE forum to vote for him, swamping votes for anyone else.

As far as I'm concerned, all of the notables I have spoken to, or whom I have read messages of, are none-retarded.

Once a retard gets voted in, the whole notable system should be scrapped. I'm talking to you, mister retard.

Well I'm going to have to disagree that the amount of posts or regularity has anything to do with it. I'd say it was quality...or not even that, because apart from the Life Forum, I post absolute rot in the other sections.

To me, a Notable is somebody that you make a point of reading their topics regardless of title, or somebody that adds something to the forums for you - not how many posts they can mash out in a day.
I'll freely admit that 95% of my posts here are designed to amuse myself and a fistful of others with no higher purpose or any attempts at impressing or winning friends.

And my visits to SR have decreased, because I don't need to find ways to fill my daylight hours anymore.
It's never been a social club for me, hence I would rather hack my genitals off than appear on that Special Observe site thing. Sure, there have been a couple of people that, because of these forums, I've ended up forming real-world friendships with that I value greatly.
But outside of my gang, this is a place I post when I can't sleep or I want to flick the undescended testes of halfwit trolls and virgins with a Tom Clancy obsession and a love of pork products.

And now I'm going to sleep.

the only way forest will end up notable is if he recruit's his friends to join.
Ofcourse it shouldnt be judged solely post's but it should play a part.

Fair enough, but who said we had to post loads anyway?
I used to post a lot, simply because I was in a dreary job and used the internet to pass the time.
I don't do that anymore, hence I've almost managed to drop off the top posters list (thank christ)
Look at the top posters for the past 30 days...by that logic then Forest Fan should be a Notable.

People vote Notables because they like/value/laugh/sneer/look for posts from that person, regardless of word count.
I don't think you can rate somebody on how much they post, otherwise there would be mongoloids like Forest Fan running around as Notable (whatever that's actually worth)

Personally speaking, I couldn't give a toss if a load of people who weren't even here when I was voted complain because I don't post as much.
Quite frankly, I'm having waaaay too much fun out there with people I can talk to/hump/punch to be arsed to post here much nowadays.
I looked at that copularity pontest...I recognise about 12 people from that.
As as for the Top Posters...I'm top of the "All Time Top 100", so again using that logic, I'm not only the best Notable, but the best goddam poster full stop.

So nyah nyah nyah.
And whatever happened to Nelly Furtado?

Yes but a lot of people have complained that the notables don't post as much, so it would have made sense to pick someone who isnt going to dissappear.
