AAAAARGGGHH - any help would be mucho appreciated here:

Right, Im trying to convert Digital TV broadcast MPG into a format that even Windows Media player can understand, and cut out adverts along the way:

Ive "demux"ed the MPG D-TV streams and this results in an editable MPV file - I can then paste and cut etc...

but how do I then reconvert mpv to mpg???

Also are DVDs MPV??

Cheers guys!!

Since posting my last message I've also found VideoReDo (www.videoReDo.com) which can open broadcast MPEG's and edit out adverts and then save the product as ordinary MPEG's that can be played in Windows Media Player or written to DVD. It's very quick too.

I have an exe flash movie that is calling an MPG movie (100MB) created using Adobe premier and Ulead Studio, the links take a long time to load when the cd is playing on a slow computer (2-3 minutes). is there a way to convert the mpg file to another format that is linkable ( :) i mean can be linked to flash and by default opens in media player) and also plays fast enough on any pc.? thanks

I wanted to do the same (ie convert DigiTV broadcast MPEG's into DVD formate MPEG 2's) and this is the helpful e-mail which I've just received from Nebula the maker of my DigiTV card - not tried it yet but looks as though it could be helpful to you without the need to convert to AVI and then MPEG:-

"Currently, our recordings are made in broadcast MPEG
> 2 which is not the same as DVD MPEG 2 (which is the

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
Many thanks!!
Registered my website with Freeola Sites on Tuesday. Now have full and comprehensive Google coverage for my site. Great stuff!!
