I've just seen the trailer for the new Tomb Raider movie.
It looks VERY good, surprisingly. Me being a critic of game to film transitions and all, I can't really say anything except

I wouldn't see a film just for effects, no matter how good. And i don't now about the trailer. Watch it over the net, the you wont have a massive file on your PC.

Mr Dark, the film was a bit pants, the story was cheesy as hell, but its worth watching for the effects.

Hollow man wasn't really that much better than Memoirs of an Invisible Man (Dustin Hoffman), and look at how long ago that was done.
Talking of good effects, i saw HollowMan the other day.
The film wasnt amazing, but the effects were!

I agree FM - saw the trailer last week (23Mb download from the site - www.tombraidermovie.com). I also am not a fan of films-of-games, but this looks like it's going to be a real corker. Good storyline (as, IMHO, all TR games have had), and the effects look awesome.
June 15th release - two days after I leave for Florida. Shame that - I'll have to see it out there. :-)
