For the second time in he last few months, one of my official controllers has balls up. I've had no problems with my Cube since I got it at launch, and all of sudden both of my controllers go all rubbish.

Not a huge problem, just the D-pad seems to be stuck slightly going in one direction all the time. Seems a bit weird, seeing as I never use the D-pad, and exactly the same thing's happened on both controllers. It's very annoying when trying to aim on Resi, though, so I'll have to buy a new one.

I have so little money. :(

Get a Wavebird. By far my favourite controller.

This IS shocking. I expect this from Sony's cheap shoddy controllers but not good old reliable Nintendo. Come to think of it, there is something rattling around inside my GC pad.

Just take it apart and clean it out, isnt a hardship.

Buy a controller, then take the broken one back with the receipt for your new one and get another one free.

Repeat in other shop with second broken one.

Four controllers for the price of two. If you have a problem with money, though, then meh. Wait until you have some.

One of my pads went crap soon after I got my first cube.

They don't have the sturdyness of the N64 controller.

I finally manged to damage my original N64 controller beyond repair last month after getting it originally in 97/98.

The controller I got with my N64, pretty much on the release date here (waited for the price drop, which came very soon, thankfully) still works. 7 or 8 years now. Still no problems. And seeing as it was my only official one (when mates came round they brung their own :-D) it was always in use.

N64 controller = greatest.
