The real reason behind my name is that I friends had finally persuaded me to get msn rather than use ichat(aim) and I called my self snake because I was rubbish at chosing names so I picked a random animal.
Another friend ( called The devious duck ) said I should be more adventurous with my name. I then changed my name to Socks the Sumburlent Snake.
Everyone was very annoyed with it so it stuck.
Socks the sumburlent snake is too long a name on the forums and it didn't make sense "da sumbulent snake"( well it did but my friend...socks...( ;-) )) so I cut it to socks the snake. Then "the" wouldn't fit.

I just thought the name was quite funny at the time, and the tagline was just the icing on the cake.
