Yup, they deserved the win, no doubt about it.

Arsenal - what the hell was that?!

Something called fatigue, I would bet. Arsenal were looking very tired towards the end of that game. It's been a long season, and it's starting to catch up with a lot of players. As Arsenal haven't used that many players in the premiership (the key to their success has been their teamsheet consistency), they're likely to feel it more than most, and players like Henry - who rely on pace - will lose effectiveness. Hence Henry was rested.

Ultimately, I think Arsenal did more running today than they'd planned on, and they may struggle to beat Chelsea on Tuesday. Add the loss of Pires and Reyes to injury, and in the short time since Boro outplayed Arsenal twice in the Carling Cup, Arsenal's chances could well have dropped from four potential trophies to just one, the Premiership. But with tired legs having to take on both Liverpool and Newcastle, nothing is for granted.#

Wouldn't it be a surprise scenario now for Chelsea to make the Premiership and CL double, stealing it from right under the Gooner noses? Unlikely, but even at this point in the season, I don;t think Arsenal can afford to assume that they've won anything, not even the Premiership.

Why didn't Arsenal start with Henry and Pires on the field together because them too together create and score nearly all of the goals and then you can take them off a little later to save them. Arsenal will be more bothered about the league and the champions league.

Whether Reyes is half-the-player Arsenal will be paying for or not, the fact is, he's going to look different in the Premiership, anyway; whether they like it or not.

La Liga is a completely different ball-game to that of the Premiership. I mean, go to Spain, and even Steve McManaman can look half-decent! Jimmy-Floyd Hasselbaink can finish the season as the league's top-scorer - playing for the team that finished bottom! And, while you have your Barcelona's and Real Madrid's, there are no United's, Arsenal's or Chelsea's to knock you around.

Strange how the ref still booked Scholes for the challenge then!

And Wengers comments are strange about united when you consider 'Lemon' and pires were both close to being sent off.

Arsenal have also lost 2 players today.

Reyes is out 3 weeks with damage to a medial knee ligament after Scholes went through him from behind, in what the ref somehow saw as a fair challenge.

Ljungberg's also out with a broken hand, but not sure how long for.
