Hey folks, my turn to pick the subject for the short story contest.

And it is...

An old mill.

Keep stories under 1500 words, and have them posted by the 17th.

Good luck, and I look forward to reading them.

Oh, and put (SSC2) before the topic title, so I know it's an entry. Fail to do so, and I might not read it. eg (SSC2) The Old Mill

But don't call your story the old mill

Oh yeah, didn't even see the close date.
There are a lot of good stories, by the by - you'll have a hard time picking the winner.

Not yet.

To I've copied the entries so far into a word doc, without titles and names, so I can read them not knowing who has written them. There will be no favouritism.

So far I have 8 entries.

Of course, when I pick a winner, I'll then have to go back to all the threads to find which one was the winner.

Anyway, no one has one yet because;

a) The competition hasn't closed yet.
b) I haven't read any entries.


Don't expect a quick answer, definitely before the end of the month though...

Did I win yet?

The old mill... I like windmills so I'll probably scrawl something... sometihing about a man with bushy sideburns who tied his wife to one of the sails...
