It was a poor excuse to use an excess of fake blood.

How random are the Rotten Fruit episodes on the DVD!

Inappropriate.

It's a very open-ended film, isn't it?

You don't know where it came from (not a problem - I mean, who knows where Ebola or AIDS came from?), and it doesn't really end, does it?

*** SPOILER ALERT ***

The bits that made me cringe most were:

Where the dog was chewing on the girl, then you realise she's still alive.

Where the other girl is shaving her legs in the bath, and the skin if slicing away. YUCK!

No it's not the same as the Thing. In the Thing the dog finds its way into an American camp in Antartica. The dog can take over lifeforms and turn them into 'Things'. So gradually it takes over just about everyone in the camp. I won't ruin it for you but it is a really good, scary film and you should see it now.

Can't remember The Thing. It might not be the dog in Cabin Fever, because you never really pay attention to the beginning of a film until you watch it again, unless that's just me! :) But the dog, in Cabin Fever, was.. um.. dead, and cut open, then it just eroded away - I think. But can't remember why it was cut open.
Sound the same?

Isn't this inspired by Evil Dead?

I was thinking about getting it.
