Has anyone noticed before that many words that we usually use are taken from the ancient Roman culture?
-Nemesis: as featured in rsident evil 3: Nemesis, nemesis is the Roman God of revenge.
-Nike: is the Roman God of victory.
-Morpheus: as seen in the matrix, he's the Roman God of dreams. (Fits perfectly!!)

Open any biology book and you'll find that more than 90% of the scientific terms within it are Latin, like names of deseases or names of species, or genera.

those are pretty obvious and well known, Get a latin dictionary and flick through it, loads of random words will have connections a rough english meaning!

example:

Canis = dog. > What do you see > Canine

Pugno = i fight > What do you see > pugnacious

Morbo = disease > What do you see > morbid

Urbum = City > What do you see > urban

Contra= Against . contradict

Just 5 i thought off, off the top off my head but there are thousands

august and july were named after julius and augustus caesar. There are literally thousands of things that derive from the latin. Not really surprising as our language is born partially out of it and they did occupy us for a few hundred years.
