I've been through the mill the last few days, and realised many things about myself. One is that I have found my limits in terms of what I can and can't cope with. The other is, I'm a lot better at sticking with my decision than I thought I was, the amount of people I have had trying to make me waiver on my decisions the last few days has had little impact on me, and that is really telling me something about the choice I have made.

I've taken a step back now and taken a few days of Uni, just to give myself time and space to sort myself out so that I can get back to some sense of normality soon. I felt yesterday like I was reaching breaking point, and it would have taken very little tp push me over the edge, but somehow I've held onto some sort of sanity.

In the next couple of weeks I know I will have to deal with friends and family not accepting my decision, and that is going to cause some heartache and no doubt some arguments too. But I know I'm doing the right thing by me, and thats all that really matters in the end I feel.

What actually was the decision?

Was it to delay the operation a bit until your hearing went naturally?

Either way good luck when it does happen, I mean deafness is bad enough, losing your hearing but deathness... you'd lose sight, smell, taste the lot! :-S

By the by peeps, you might as well lay off Forest Fan. He means well, even if the guy is a bit nuts. Besides, the aggro ruins the thread more than he does, and only leads to him answering which winds it on and on.

If you really want to get at him then just ignore him, or ignore the fact that he's trying to brainwash you and keep the subject off religion and beliefs, especially in the topics you don't want RE discussion in. :-)
