If a foetus has a serious genetic defect (its life will be comprised of sitting in a chair and drooling) do you think a compulsory abortion should take place?

If they can't, let them live until natural death. Better this than to kill them.

Yes and so may the mothere.

It won't discourage it, the above will happen and a few more single 15 year old mothers will be around who don't want their babies.

Nice way to grow up eh?

No, the baby is his or her owns. Your parents don't own you, they cannot decide whether to kill you or not. Any baby by default should never be aborted.

How can he/she make a decision like that if he/she is deeply retarded, unable to communicate with anyone, or basically a vegetable?

SHEEPY, as an adult you have to take control of your actions. If a baby is produced, killing it is not solving the problem.

Parents should have equal rights in keeping a baby or getting rid of it.

It is there's after all.

The baby is going to die either way, banning abortion would discourage a lot more abortion, so I am definetely for a ban.

I know I'm selfish and a coward etc but I myself would probably wish to terminate the pregnancy. Maybe my mind would change when it is proposed to me. The same replies to if my girlfriend was to get pregnant, mainly because I am not an adult myself and would not be able to offer the child a decent life. However, if my girlfriend wanted it I would try my best I suppose.

Selfish I know but still.
