The "General Games Chat" forum, which includes Retro Game Reviews, has been archived and is now read-only. You cannot post here or create a new thread or review on this forum.
There is one prize to be decided at the end of April for the best set of suggestions.
GAMES DON'T COUNT. We aren't looking for a list of games which we don't sell. It's the other stuff we are interested in.
In particular we are looking for PC Software. Not the very expensive stuff. Also PC bits or peripherals.
You can suggest new product ranges which could be of interest to our existing audience: for example our next catalogue includes a Metal Detector.
Make suggestions for our shops, or for items to sell on the internet. Our aim for the shops is "Brimming with Stock and Bristling with Offers". On the internet it's a question of what people will be searching for.
If YOU are thinking of buying something soon, and we don't sell it, then please enter that too.
And err...
(You like flaming opinions, don't you?)
Sorry, can't help it tonight.
There are extremely hard to find anywhere for a decent prize, my dads company needs them everyday and has to buy hundreds for his archiving!!
SELL THESE!
Member/Site poster recognition vud go down a treat methinks...Yah?
Vat about CD-a-day yah? People cud review ze music zey have listened to and, as they do for ze games, zey can review for ze music Yah?
It vud attract even more customers yah? But it might mean zat you vill need to sell CD's which may not be bad, but 'you sell one you sell them all' yah? You would have to stock qvite a number...Yah? Or maybe the top 100 chart stuff.
Risky methinks but VERY revarding if you can puul it off...Yah?
Ze Game
But you know what I mean. Just loads of small gadgets.
For example, for someone who buys a game, the get a 'Casual Gamer Certificate' with their name printed on it for purchases between 1 and 5 games.
For 6-10 Games they could be 'True Gamer'
For 11-15 Games they could be 'Professional Gamer'
and when they've bought 16+ Games they get a certificate with their delivery as 'Hardcore Gamer'.
You could do the same five certificate levels for PC components 'Novice', 'Nerd', 'Geek', 'Grade A Geek', and 'The Bill Gates Fan Club Geek'.
Then for gadgets you could have 'Twiddler', 'Official Twiddler', 'Apprentice Freak', 'Gadget Freak', and finally 'Twiddling Gadget Freak'.
Then you could have a page displaying the all-time greats in each category.....
> You could let users download screensavers and wallpapers maybe of
> game characters or such and on the bottom advertise SR!
I also said this :)
(I said a lot of these in the advertising competition....)
> sell your own brands of mouse mats and mouses them selves, with your
> logo on.
you could also make your own make of speaker or keyboards
> advertsing you on the but cheap so evryone one would buy a decent
> accessory from their fav company!!
I said that with the addition that you could claim them with reddies :)
