Just thought I'd post this as I've just been informed of it myself by a mate. Reading line-up (from efestivals.co.uk):

Friday:
The Darkness
Offspring
Ash
The Hives

Saturday:
WhiteStrpies
Morrissey
Libertines
Franz Ferdinand

Sunday:
GreenDay
50Cent

Unknown Day/Stage:
LostProphets
The Streets

(These are the confirmed acts, more are to be confirmed/rumoured for the event...)

I don't know about anyone else but I am so far pretty stoked. Any festival with both GreenDay and the Offspring is gonna be great in my book. Add the Concrete Jungle Stage, which should be on Saturday, so shouldn't interfere with me seeing either of those two, and it seems I'll have an awesome time come August.

My hopes lie on the concrete junlge stage and the radio one stage. The Cooper Temple Clause last year kicked ass there.

Maybe 50 Cent will do a "Jay Z" from last year and pull out. When Eminem was at the festival he dueted with Marilyn Manson which at least made it about 6% good. Compared to 50 Cents 2% good so far.

:)

ahh the concrete jungle last year was DAMN good.

Poison the well, Funeral For A Friend, Thrice, Alkaline Trio, Ataris, possibly the best lineup they've had for the concrete jungle.

If you ask me it's quite possibly the worst headliners Reading has ever had! What the hell is 50 Cent doing there? Here's hoping he will be booed into submission until the half decent Green Day come on.

I too have already bought my ticket so I'm hoping the Concrete Jungle Stage from last year will be chock full of top acts. Oh and what happened to Muse eh? Goddamn misleading rumours.

On the Concrete Jungle Stage... For which no bands have been announced... Unless Lost Prophets are playing it, like they headlined the Deconstruction fest a few years back... :|

Although I've heard a number of rumours, From Autumn To Ashes, Goldfinger, Capdown, Funural For A Friend, My Chemical Romance... Sure there have been others too, but I forget. Not heard any bands that I'd think would headline the stage though... Last year they had loads of pretty huge bands, Pennywise headlining, Lagwagon, Mad Caddies, Alkaline Trio, Ataris, BoySetsFire, Thrice, Poison the Well... This year (so far) the rumoured bands seem to be much smaller. I hope they'll go for some more British bands this year though. I think the Concrete Jungle last year had King Prawn and FFAF and that was it. Hopefully Capdown rumours will be true anyway...

Snuggly, there is the problem that the full line-up isn't announced before tickets go on sale, but last year I waited until the line-up was mostly confirmed, tickets had sold out and I had to ask a mate who runs an online store for one of the tickets he bought to sell on said store. He kindly let me have it for normal price as opposed to selling it for £150 or so as he had planned to do with the spares he got.

This year I've already ordered my ticket (infact I did before any line-up stuff was confirmed) because I know how fast they sell. I had the attitude of, even if it turns out to be crap, I can always sell my ticket when they're sold out.

Oh, and as regards the line-up I'm stoked about GreenDay and Offspring as they're two of the first bands I got into and I've never seen either live. Most other confirmed acts I'm not bothered about, but those two alone should make it awesome.

Not convinced, sorry. The Darkness? Morrissey? Franz Ferdinand? Is this a man's festival or a little girls' tea party?

And this is directed at all you festival organisers - there's no way in hell I'm ordering a ticket in advance without seeing the line-up. How retarded is that? That's like paying for a meal without knowing you're gonna be served pralines and dick.
