1 -The ships seemed so much cooler and technologically advanced compared to the ships in the future (Episodes 4 -6)
2 -They used robotic soldiers but downgraded to human storm troopers in episodes 4-6
3 -They got a Scotsman- Ewan McGregor, to play the part of Obi Wan, who was originally played by an Englishman - Alec Guinness
Despite this I enjoyed the film and can't wait for the next episodes.
The only excitement for me was the Pod Race in Episode I, at least that was something new. The battle at the end just seemed too organised and 'set up', it was more like watching England play Pakistan in a one day Test Series than a war.
And how come Anakin Skywalker looked more evil and menacing as a boy in Phantom Menace than he did when he first appeared on screen as Darth Vader in Episode IV?
He was scary....
Surely they'd learn from this experience that human soldiers are a much better option.
