Please I need your advice. From the grammatical point of view, is it correct to say "Wisdom is something that we have to learn ourselves" ?

Unless I am missing something I think your teacher is right.
If you learn something at school, you have still learnt (or is it learned) it yourself, even though a teacher may have taught it to you.

I think it's the equivalent of saying "will you learn me how to .." as opposed to "will you teach me how to .."

At the end of the day I'm not certain but I am sufficiently bored to supply my two penneth worth.

S/he can only interpret the sentence as s/he reads it and it reads wrong.

Only by 'teaching' yourself the difference between right and wrong can you 'learn' wisdom

For example:

Your teacher will teach a subject which you then learn but only you can teach yourself wisdom.

"Wisdom is something that we have to learn ourselves"

Possibly overcome by the following sentence as the addition of one word alters the meaning for the sentence.

"Wisdom is something that we have to learn for outselves"

But hey, what do I know, this is only my interpretation as I'm not an English teacher.

I'd say :

"Wisdom is something that we must learn for ourselves"

But my tracher totally misses the point, I don't mean to learn it it to ourselves, that makes "ourselves" an object, but I mean to say that we have to depend on ourselves in learning it, that's completely different.

Definitely 'or what'. Strictly speaking your teacher is correct.
