The who will chelsea sign thread. Cech and robben are already agreed, who will be next, i think we'll sign at least 3 or 4 more.


The cut list:

1.Sullivan
2.Rice pudding Man (although his antics amuse me, so if he does well in the next few weeks i may give him my permission to stay)
3.Babayaro- He's just there
4.Bogarde- Give him a new contract chelsea ! i dare you just to show how rich we are- in case somebody hadn't noticed!
5.Desailly- one of the ones i want out most, one we feel we have to play but needs replacing- Chivu please.
6.Melchiot- I actually want to keep him but i have a strange feeling that he has been told he is goilng already, Shift geremi to reserve right back/utility player.
7.Gronkjaer- the most erratic player on the planet with no possible exceptions, one in ten games he is zidane,figo, ronaldo, beckham, pele et al combined, the remaining 9 games he plays like one of us.
8. Zenden- Didn't want him to go out on loan this season, he has and has been really good, but can't see him competing with Robben on the Left
9. Hate to say it Joe Cole- Really like him, don't think he has been given a fair chance at all, but if we're not going to play him and IF he is unhappy i don't think we should stand in his way.
10. Petit-8 choice
11. Stanic i suppose, like him as a character and appparently he is very popular, but never going to play for us again methinks
12. Hassebaink- jimmy would be snapped up, can probably score 25-30 if he plays every week one careful owner, newcastle call shotgun.
13. Gudjohnsen- Gud money Mutu is better and i can't see gudjohnsen forming a partnership with any of our current strikers.

CB -Chivu or somebody similar a strong charcter who is under 25/26
LB -Random Youngster who looks like they have potential but won't want immediate first team football.
-Back up left footer/ top notch young midfielder/ forward in Arjen robben
Right midfield- Valeron/Joaquin this is the only essential signing the need for a right midfielder is glaringly obvious. Beckham if going, doubt it, rather have joaquin in a way as he is younger, but having the england captain and right mid would be pretty cool!

That would be how my team would look for next season, though you never know what big players might beome available. I feel this would give us a lot more stability and allow the players to thrive.

it was boring 8 months ago

Whenever England play there are always stupid rumours. It just puts pressure on the team. Luckily it's only a friendlt tonight.

Does a week go by though when Claudio's job isn't under threat? The fact there's a friendly coming up soon just makes the papers start again with the Sven and Chelsea talk. Getting quite boring now

Bad idea, that they are going to get rid of Claudio Raineri, I think.

Chelsea will probably sign some flagging European like Luis Enrique and drop some decent players like Mikael Forssell and Emmannuel Petit (who says he is going to leave in the summer).

Here's a thought...

If you believe the stories that have been in the press (remember, I said IF...) then Abramovich wants half the Arsenal squad, and the manager.

So the question is... why didn't he just buy Arsenal? Would have been cheaper in the long run, because half the staff he wants would have been included with the asking price.

Ashley, you can't get rid of Gudjohnsen, he is by far your best striker now a lot lot better than Crespo, and even Mutu for that matter. Get rid of him, you'll regret it!

i read the lampard gerrard argument though i didn't post i strongly disagreed with the use of the quality of surrounding players argument. I don't want to compare them as i believe it isn't possible as they aren't the same kind of players, but if you need a quality comparison it is easily available by looking at last season, were chelsea and liverpool had near identical seasons, both where the driving force in the squads.

Baz, your a tw@t, listen to this guy, Jamie knows exactly what he's talking about and everything he has said there is true. 100%.

Forssell is quality. Pure quality. Someone used this arguement with Gerrard the other day against Lampard. That Lampard performs better cos he has class players around him, whereas Gerrard has a pretty sh!te team. So Forsell's at friggin' Birmingham, quality players? I think not so much. He is the pure reason why Birmingham are where they are, and with 16 goals at a club like that, he is by far one of Chelski's better strikers.

Gronkjaer is nothing less than a wizard. I remember going to Chelsea 'Boro a few seasons ago with Jamie. Ed de Goey smacked the ball down the pitch and Boro's right back had 15 yards at least on Jesper and the ball was going out of play. Then there was a stir in the crown below us ( we were in the exec's box) and Jesper started running, boy did that man go. I have actually never see anyone run so far from stationary without a starting block. He then proceeded to cross the ball straight into row Z of the stand. But still, when he performs, boy does he perform.

Babayaro peak? At 24 years of age? You want a slap?

Ranieri, this man is simply a genius. Look what he has done to Chelsea, he has taken them from a Europe position to Champions League in a matter of years. This man is of the highest order, and if Chelsea do replace him, they will be sorry. As a Spurs fan I would love to see him leave so he can hurry the f**k up and get to the Lane. :-D
