I know what comes to mind when you see 3d Glasses those green and red glasses that everyone had as a kid.

But on my normal search through Ebay for 'things to buy that might be crap but i wanna try them out so i buy them.' I came across some 3d glasses for use with geforce video cards.

These are refered to as 'time-sequential multiplexing' glasses so i clicked buy before reading the rest of the information. (The name being enough for me to spend some money).

They are due to arrive in about a month as they have to be sent to my home address then being sent to me at uni. I can't wait to try these out if they work as well as people have said they are i am going to be chuffed.

Another purchase i made a short time ago was a P5 glove which replaces my mouse. It's very strange at first but now i am used to it i use it for almost all of my computer activities.

Pfft it would have to be a 5.1 headset :) otherwise it would be a step down.

I am a geek and happy with that, i like checking things out if the look like they could be fun or a bit different.

Your right your geek enough already, i just wanted to be as geeky as you, your my hero :P

No, just for people with a hankering for early carpal tunnel syndrome.

Nah, not for me. I'd probably get bored of the novelty in days.

Chip, all you need now is a headset, and you would look like "Teh roxxor1!!!!!!!111!!1" UberGeek.

Me, I feel computing is geeky enough, without needlessly adding to it.... ;D

I personally must be one of the one people that doesn't rest his wrist on the desk while using a mouse, i keep my arm in the air otherwise the mouse moves slower then i might die :(

This glove is not for geeks with girly weak arms!

It is good for pitch and yaw and for certain programs depth. in black and white where you have to grab the ground to pull your view forward. with the glove you reach forward and pull towards yourself while bending a finger. although this is one of the games tthat it was designed for it does work very well.

It comes with hitman 2 and it is supposed to be very good for it, but as i don't like the hitman games i havn't tried it.

It is a very frivolous buy and i could see most people just going back to their mouse after 5 minutes.

I don't quite see the point of it bar novelty value.

You wear a glove to erm, move a mouse pointer around by moving your hand. Like with what you do with a mouse. You don't even get the benefit of resting your forearm on a desk, so I can see it putting a huge strain on your arm with extended use.

Perhaps for CAD designers and the like, if it offers more axis (pitch / yaw) but for gaming and everyday use? Not for me...

[edit] Bullet beat me too it.

You have to keep it held in the air to operate it? Surely a strain on the arm after prolonged use??

Hehe i haven't tried it with WoW, it does work well but i have found that a few of my friends are naff at using it but it's because it's such a different system from a mouse.

To go up the screen you move your hand up rather than normally where you push a mouse forward, also you have you have to keep your hand in an area or you can't control it.

It cost me about £12 just because i was curious to see how it was i like it but i have only found one or 2 other people that can use it well and like it.

That glove looks strangely intriguing.

Does it actually work well?

and more importantly, does it work well with WoW? :D

Well i got them yesterday, but it turns out they don't work for me due to a squint that i used to have and because i don't fosuc through both eyes at the same time i can't use 3d glasses :(

I had my housemates test them and they love them apparently it's really good.

i don't mind they cost me £10 worth a try. :)
