What a great game if a bit far fetched

I bought the original Command and COonquer for the N64, it wasn't that bad since I loved RTSs so much then. It had a Hi-Res option too if you had the expansion pa(c)k, but as with most N64 games that used it the frame rate was a bit laggy.

Yup. Do you still have the game? If I rebuy it from eBay we can have a match...

you can switch them off on red alert 2. I can't see the fun of building a base only to have it blown up by a cheesy super weapon. there's a lot more skill to it when you leave them out.

Yeah, that was the only major annoyance with Generals; you have so many special abilities ince you've worked up the tree, every minute you either get reinforcements, a nuke or carpet bomb, hydrogen bomb etc.

I prefer a nice, old fashioned firefight.

yeah I was a master at red alert 2 multiplayer.

always be sure to ban the super weapons though. they suck.

I've never played online Red Alert 2, I had dial up at the time. Generals was my firs dosage of C and C with the world; I was good at that, until some cheat came in and ruined my winning streak.

8 player Red Alert 2 is great.

Hours of fun.

the yuri faction adds a whole new dimension to the game.

it stops you from using the classic 'rush in there and blast them to death' tactics. if you try that, you lose half your units to Yuri.

Plus some of the new units for the allied and soviet sides are great, such as the artillery helicopters and the battle fortress.
