Yes. The Broadband Question, because it's like the ultimate one. Or something. Who knows?
Annnywayyyy.

We've been considering the idea of broadband for some time now. Infact, about a year or so. Due to unforseen circumstances etc, we've had to wait until now for us to actually start getting all the hardware we need.
Now here's the scenario, folks. Oh, and I personally know fack all when it comes to broadband and the required hardware and so forth.

We have two computers, and we'd like both to be able to access broadband, whether it be at the same time or not. We're looking at BulldogDSL's 1mb Alltime (I originally had Anytime. Freeserve has me where it wants, it seems...) package ( [URL]http://www.bulldogdsl.com/residential/products/alltime/a1000.asp[/URL] - infact, those of you who know their stuff, could you take a quick glance at that and give me your thoughts? Ta).

And so, the question...s.

Lets set this into two category's. The cheapest way, and the "best" way, if you like (I've heard of all this wireless malarky and so forth, and something about sharing the bandwidth or something. *Shrugs*).

So, what hardware would we need should we want it to be relatively cheap?
And what hardware would we need should we want the best-ish connection etc/least awkward (ie, one of the computers wouldn't need to be on for the other to access broadband).

And one last thing. Put it relatively in simple terms when it concerns what each bit of hardware does.

It will give you a socket on the back of the PC that looks like a bigger version of a an ADSL cable. Like the one that plugs into the base of the phone.

If one was in the fortuitous position of having 6 computers in one building, no they aren't mine! and they were all nicely cable together and configured as a network. How would you recommend sharing the connection.

Obviously one computer cound act as a server however they are all owned by seperate individuals all requiring similar levels of internet access, and i have only seen 4 port routers around. The Hub in question is a netgear 10/100mbps 8 port which supports uplink. How is the best way to share the connection please? Is it possible to link them to gether and get the connection shared 6 ways?
