Seems a good choice too, not too famous for any one part, but good acting in all the parts he's had (Shallow Grave, Existenz, Gone in Sixty Seconds and Cracker to name a few).
Hopefully this will be something of a re-birth for the long-running sci-fi series and it may even get it some new fans.
Christopher Eccleston would be a great Doctor, he is enigmatic and witty enough to pull off such a role.
As Russel T. Davis (God in simpler terms) said... it will be epic, manificant, fun and entertaining...
Bring it on.

No, it's a full on 13 episode series to be screened next year. Written by Russell T Davies and Mark Gatiss, both big fans of the show. League of Gentlemen style doctor? Planet of the no tails? Maybe not, it looks like it could actually work as a brand new series, not trying to be completely different but also not just for the fans of the old series.
Of course, those who hated in the first place probably won't like it now either, but then there are lots of things I don't like on television too.
> That suprised Wookie?
I dunno about Wookie, but Wookiee is surprised.
They should have scrapped the show when Tom Baker left.
:¬P
Are you agreeing with me?
