I got my Platinum GC for £30. Mint condition and everything, just no manual and the box was a little knocked about.

The best place to start is obviously Resident Evil 4.

Pikmin 2 is much better than Pikmin. Same goes for Super Monkey Ball/2.

Metroid Prime 1/2
Wind Waker
Mario Kart
Eternal Darkness
Star Wars Rogue Squadron
Donkey Kong Jungle Beat
