Or is this really the end of the N64 so no one really gives a damn about it??
It seems that there's a fair amount you can do, and the order in which you do it, is pretty much up to you.
Unless so far my aimless wanderings have taken me to where I'm actually supposed to go....
Damn, I want my own copy of this game :-(
I salute them!
All I can say really, is just play it. The movie related bits are, astounding, and it's great fun watching it being acted out.
My favourite movie moments so far:
The very start bit, Clockwork Orange.
The beach, Saving Private Ryan.
The bank - The Matrix.
...There is one or two things that are bugging me though.
Both on the war level. The point where Conker get's his machine guns, and goes inside the building for the first time, there is a short cut scene, with Conker looking at bears, and then them disapearing... I can't remember what film it's from... and then the running into the lift...
Then, the bit with the little girl... that HAS to be a film, but I can't think what...
For me this question is very hard to anwser, as most of the Nintendo 64's classics are in the 'kiddie' like style, although the game does not intend to taget the audience of children.
From the shots I have seen of the Gamecube, I can honestly say i really want one. However, the only reason which is holding me back is the fact that most of the screenshots still look more 'childish' then realistic. This could be a major set back for Nintendo.
But is the Gamecube chip capable of displaying a more realistic display? Are the first Gamecube screenshots just looking for the younger audience because Nintendo have desgined them? As Nintendo do seem to go more for that style.
The N64 has always been guided more toward kids. Of course there are games that really aren't for kids on the system. Turok, PD etc. But those games looked like they were for the older gamer.
Conker looks like it is a kids game but really isn't suitable for kids. Initially I disregarded CBFD as a kids game until I looked more into it and heard more about it on here (now I'm dismissing it 'cause of the price). I imagine other people may have done the same, so it isn't getting much of the adult audience and can't get much of the child audience because of the content. Bad choice by Nintendo, but still it sounds like a good game, so don't let the fact that its not selling well stop you from purchasing it.
