In that case you should learn sign language and then use it to swear at them for not being supportive enough.
I have suggested it to my mates and my family, but they all seem less than enthusiastic about learning. I've started to learn lip-reading, but at the moment I'm useless at it, so its of little value to me for the short-term problem in Uni. i'm sure it will be very useful later on though.
Have you ever considered learning sign language? I wanted to learn it and then teach my dad, but I couldn't move my hands and arms properly!
