Before the preview starts, remember to put your predictions in. The preview can provide some clues for your predictions and I'll try to give as many clues as possible.

So, round 2 of the championship is in Malaysia and it's either one of two things, weather wise. It's either super hot and humid or raining monsoon conditions. Amazingly, both of the previous years in Malaysia have had dry qualifying but a wet race.

Last season saw Jarno Trulli take pole position in the Renault, in what was a good season for Renault. Jordan took 2nd and 3rd on the grid with Fisichella just ahead of Firman. It seems Renault and Jordan go well around here as Alonso took a clean sweep at the front of the grid for those 2 teams with 4th.

Of course, Trulli and Alonso are not involved in this season so you may want to look a little further back to find Raikkonen in 6th, Montoya 7th and Button 8th.

As I mentioned previously, the races have been slippery affairs in torrential rain. Renault proved their good speed with Trulli winning the race ahead of Raikkonen, who took the lead in the World Championship after this race. Firman took 3rd with Pizzonia, De La Rosa and Verstappen taking the top 6 placings.

Here is some information that might prove helpful:

Lap Records:
Qualifying: 1m35.088s Raikkonen (2002)
Race: 1m47.726s Trulli (2003)

Previous winners:
Frentzen (2002)
Trulli (2003)

Top 3 Qualifying:
1st Trulli
2nd Fisichella
3rd Firman

Top 3 Race:
1st Trulli
2nd Raikkonen
3rd Firman

Top 3 drivers after round 2:
1st Raikkonen 16pts
2nd Trulli 15pts
3rd Firman 12pts

Top 3 constructors:
1st Jordan 22pts
2nd Renault 19pts
3rd McLaren 16pts
