I'm on my family computer and it seems either they have the biggest addiction to illegitimate websites humanly possible - or they have found another way of downloading b**tard adware.

The thing is, this stuff will NOT delete.

There's loads of popups from "powweb", an "IE search bar" and stuff caled 'bargain buddy'. Also when you turn the machine on you get this popup http://www.geocities.com/thekyzzone3/vbs.JPG

Gah, stupid family.

Er - help?

That's a good thing.

If you want to do serious work, Macs are the way forwards, and there are more and more games appearing on Macs as well. Championsip Manager for one.

Damn Bill Gates.

The fact remains Macs aren't as versatile though.

Mac's are great - no viri, no spyware, and the only things that crash are Microsoft Word and Excel.

I *think* I got rid of it all. There was absolutely loads of stuff.

I reckon my Dad has been browsing porn and not been too sneaky about it, and probably fallen for a "click here for 50 million tons of porn!!!!!!111" things that embeds adware.

Anywho I got rid of it, eventually.

Wasn't nice though.

Bell - last time I used Ad Aware it removed my internet settings for Broadband :-( I'm reluctant to use it again.

I remember downloading something called hotbar which basically was a link generator everytime I went online. It was so damn annoying and it wouldn't let me delete it or uninstall.

So I downloaded Mozilla Firefox as my internet browser and never looked back.
