is anyone else having dificulties
But the reason becoase mail servers often go down is becoase companies are tooo cheap and dont put allot of ram in the machine as a mail server doesnt need allot of ram at all. The request has to keep being requeted only to have done null. And evetually its gone..
Ive done it to my downstairs pc it wouldnt have been possible without broadband though.
Coded the perl program myself

Not quite. A denial of service works by getting virus laden machines to unwittingly send requests to the server. Like when you click a link, your PC requests data from a server.
That times a million all at the one time pushes them over the brink. But adding another couple of hundred megabytes won't fix it, huge bandwidth and many many top of the range servers might.
