Hmmm lyrics that have spoken to me before...well I can think of two sets of lyrics that I have directly linked to my own problems. The first is from Stacy's Mom by Fountains Of Whayne. Specifically this bit:

That was when I was hopeful about having a relationship with this person. The second song is after they got a boyfriend. Scheiße... It's by James Marsters from Ghost Of The Robbot.
