Ok I just heard this song on T.V. and REALLY liked it so I did a quick google search and found it was by the Irish god that is Bono and U2. It's just brilliant and replaces Beautiful Day as my favourite U2 song of all time. Seriously it's the kind of song you'd want to have as "your song" you know? like the first song you'd dance to after your wedding. Ok I don't think the content is suiting of a wedding but many people have Sting's "I'll be watching you" as their love anthem and that's got even less suiting content considering it's all about stalkign someone who left you and stuff. Anyway all I'm trying to say is that it's a fantastic song that I thing you should all listen to.

I would however also like ot know if it would be possible to learn on the Electric Guitar? Sounds like it'd be better on the acoustic but if you can that's another reason for me to get an electric guitar...whenever that'll be.

Nice song, shame about people eulogising about songs like this the whole time.

I generalise, but I dislike it when people pick a 'nice' song and then set that as their 'song for a certain mood'. Usually incredibly well-known songs to boot. There is no 'one song' for anything, there are hundereds for anything. It's like Madworld's song being so popular - yes, it was a nice (nice = sad) song, and I quite like it. But there are far better songs that reflect any mood of sadness (for example) far better. It's also the kind of thing where a 'true, meaningful' love song has to have acoustic guitar, hushed vocals, and a guitar solo/saxophone somewhere........regardless of artist.

I'm such a music snob.

Nothing more than my opinion, take it or leave it. For me, nothing really happens in that song. And people accuse Stairway of being boring...

I find it bland and boring. I immediately turn over if it's ever shown on VH1 Classic. It's just dull in my opinion.
