Great display by the Gunners. But that's not what I want to talk about.

Those Portsmouth fans - absolutely AMAZING!

Never stopped singing, even at 0-5 down. Chants of "Can we play you every week?" and a standing ovation for the Arsenal players as they left the pitch.

I've never seen any supporters of any team anywhere in the world behave like that, especially when on the wrong end of a thrashing.

Very refreshing, and all the credit in the world to them. Fans of many other clubs could learn a lot from them.

Well done, Pompey fans!

Are we talking bout the same pompey fans? The ones who insulted and abused Wayne Bridge for 90 mins, just because he used to play for the saints....

Hah, well he sure did show them....

No, I watched the highlights from the FA Cup game, and they did look fantastic. They were even clapping when arsenal scored, and the standing ovation at the end just about summed the game up.

It's like I always say: The real winner on Saturday lads, was the game of Association Football.

Only thing i found a tad annoying was when they chanted 'play up pompey' ... but I felt gobsmacked more than anything by how amazing we played in the first half. Toure has to be our most improved player for us this season (he can score also :D), Freddie's goal was such a peach of a goal aswell he looks good after having a week off, Henry was imperious in flashes not quite brilliant but i think he's saving himself for the Champions League game on Wednesday.

As i've told Badger the night before the game that even if they lose they shouldn't be ashamed of it because they'll know that they've lost to a good team and that they made it all the way to the quarters.
Also the Pompey players put in a great effort even after 0-3 down at half time aswell as the our players which was great to see obviously it got a bit dire after going 5-0 up but it was great to see the pompey fans appreciating us, showing some great sportsmanship and spirit which in my opinion why it makes the Premiership the best league in the world.

Just nice see Arsenal fans praising the opposition as to mocking them, which seems to be the usual trend these days.

Yay, everyones happy.

superb play from us. summed up our season so far. however, special credit has to go to the fans. arsenal's cheered throughout and sang their songs (respectfully, not the "go back to the nationwide..." one) and pompey's didn't get the slightest taste of sourness and portrayed the cup atmosphere in one stadium. thats what the cup does and it's no suprise to me that our lads are up for every cup game. pompey's play wasn't good, but there were bucket loads of effort. mornar, taylor and primus were good enough to be playing in a middle of the league side.

pompey fans were top notch though. i used to think saints fans were the best, but last time i watched them they were silent. the fans crown has moved down the south coast a bit in my opinion. for pompey and their fans, they would hope for more, but it's just a nice holiday visit to the prem and the fun of playing the best sides in the country.

And all credit to the lads, still chasing everything down even at 5:0, if they play like that every week then we should stay up

They've been like that for over 15 years now.

Fantastic atmosphere and they love to watch their football.

Great match to watch aswell, was a bit sad though.

But all credit to the players and the lads.

Play up Pompey.

And well said Thierry.

No, I don't think any of them left. It seemed just as packed at the end as it did at kick-off.

Exactly.
And fair play to Terry at the end for pointing that out, and stating how he admired that.
It just shows how the atmosphere, and how the fans behave affect the players/how the players notice it.

Agreed. Excellent stuff from them.

Did you notice if any of them started to leave at all?
I'd hazard a guess to say no, really, which is rare.

And I'd just like to say.

It wasn't because Pompey were poor - it was because the Gunners were utterly superb. They weren't passing the ball about, they were caressing it. The way they played was just superb.
