Everyone feels down at sometime in their life's, maybe from boredom, a loss of something or a state of manic depression. Its a common thing, but what can we do about it?

Go mental.

Yes, haul your ass into your local "hospital", tell them to feed you Prozac and be in a straight jacket for 6 months. Well, maybe I'm over exaggerating of visiting a mental institution, but on a serious note, going mental actually works, for me anyway. It's like letting all your troubles and problems be released in your state of spasticated energy.

I'll explain what I mean, my passion is music. I adore music more then anything, be it playing on my guitar or listening to Iron Maiden, having music around is my drug. I'm addicted to it, and when I can hear those notes pounding my eardrums I feel happy. It's my fix.

But whats music without going mental?

Sometimes I'll just grab my guitar, and strike those power chords in an unorganized fashion whilst jumping around, headbanging, singing, whatever. It feels good, it feels crazy, it feels mental, in that brief moment of excitement I can feel the adrenaline being pummeled around my body like poison, its intoxicating, its scary, it's mental.

Forget all those problems, forget the troubles of the world, forget why you was feeling depressed, just let yourself go. Turn your speakers up to full blast, put on your fave track and don't just sit there tapping away, get up, get out your Air Guitar/Air drums, or go on the real thing and just release all that trapped energy.

Go to a concert and enjoy yourself, go wild. Whatever you enjoy, slap it on and just go for it, it works for me and I'm fired up.

I've got my fix, I'm mental, whats yours?

I just listen to something really angry whilst lying under my pillow.

Because I'm that sad.

And I don't care.

Yeah. Generally the Distilers or the Transplants or (depression kicking in) some old Nirvana.

Sweeeeet.
