"wondering why people snigger at your ironic hair and collection of 1980s children's tv DVDs."

Oh, er...

*hides collection*

Good thing about being a student is the people there with you have similar interests. I can start up a conversation about old cartoons, films or music and everyone has a valid opinion.

Try doing that with the local radgies on the street corners...

There's also a guy in my Politics tutorial that insists on quoting Orwell every week... yeah yeah we get it okay. Knob, I hate him more because he beat me in an argument one day.

I find students to be, possibly, one of the funniest things ever created for amusement.

Hey, got news for you, you ain't the 1st people to ever go to Uni so get off your intellectual high-horse and wait until you step outside the sanctified air of further education and stand there wondering why people snigger at your ironic hair and collection of 1980s children's tv DVDs.

Oh, and a degree in sociology/psychology is about as worthwhile as Wonka's golden ticket.

Mm, in general, if er, I can be allowed to generalise and stuff, students suck. Especially art students - which can be summed up by saying they just go to school to learn how to improve their signature.

But every now and then there's some really fantastic open minded ones that just want to have fun. Creative people who are up for doing anything.

Creative people are the best types, but not arty people, I think there's a massive difference. Anyone with a creative sense of humour and a passion for doing stuff that makes them laugh till they drop beats anyone who thinks dangling a white box from the air on a piece of string sums up their struggle in life.

*lol* yeah, with their flares and corduroy (sp?) jackets, too busy being all retro, wacky and hilarious to realise they're prats.

oh, and for the record, saying "chicken" a lot isn't as funny as you think it is, starting every sentence with "oh my god" is irritating, making everything sound like a question is equally annoying and just because something was cool when you were a kid, doesn't mean wearing the t-shirt of it now will make you less of a retard, so kindly take your Scooby-Doo shirts and bagpuss backpacks and burn them.
preferrably while still wearing them.

...dear lord, end of rant :)

I love students.

Especially ones that aren't actually students at all.

They rock.

i'm both.
i don't have a job during uni time so i can give it my full attention (i'm 24 and don't really want to fail, i want into work a.s.a.p), but during the christmas/easter/summer breaks i'll work my nuts off to avoid mooching.
last summer i was doing an average of 15 hour days for 2 months straight and as a result i have a smaller loan than i'm entitled to (less to pay back), i pay my (extortionate) tuition fees in full upfront....
i hope i can make the same kind of money this summer, i like having the pressure off...

Aren't they always? Girl at work goes to a 2000 pound a year private school and her parents bought her a Ford Ka. Not sure why she even bothers working...

There's somebody I know whose parents bought them a flat in the West End, she doesn't need to work till she's finished Uni and she's going away for 2 and a half months in the Summer to her parents villa with some friends.

Beatch, more annoying because she is a bit hot.
