Why change the name from sexually transmitted disease to sexually transmitted infection?
To me “disease” has more impact then “infection”. It’s pointless.
Why do names change? I remember when Snickers was Marathon.

They only clear up quickly if caught early. They can cause long-term damage, even if they’re the less “serious” ones.

Yeh but there are only a few exceptions to the rule. A lot of them are easilly treated like you would a cold which is an infection.
