Just a few questions about girls goin on 'the pill' that I'd rather like to know the answers to.

my 'female friend' who I have random casual sex with wants to go on 'the pill' so we dont have to pay for those friendly rubber sheets that stop us making babies.

What I want to know is:

- Is the pill always sucessful in stopping women getting preggers?

- Does it stop the whole 'ovulation' thing, or just stop the egg being fertile?

- Does it mean there is less of a chance of her being 'fertile' in the future if we goes on the pill now?

I'm sure you can answer those questions between you :-)

Thanks, as always.

it's nothing to do with vanity, it's to do with not looking like you have mould growing on your teeth. women, for some reason, aren't into that .....

I might actually. my teeth aren't too bad really, but some days are worse than others. I find I have to scrub for ages to get them nice some days, although I have recently give up smoking, so I'm hopeful ....

90 quid?

Would you pay that sort of money just for white teeth?
Don't think I would...

it's hard to whiten your teeth anyway, if you do things to tarnish them daily. things like drinking coffee and tea, smoking, or even eating foods with lots of strong dyes in (such as curries) undo the whitening effect of brushing.

I looked up a site, where you can buy 'tooth bleach kits'. you take an impression of your teeth with a mould, then you send it off to the company. they then send you back a 'made to fit' device to fit your teeth, into which you inject special tooth bleach. you then have to wear it for 8 hours or more (they suggest you wear it at night), and the results are supposed to be very good.

but these kits are £90!

I recently started using it and I bought a Sonicare toothbrush at the same time both of which say that within 3-4 weeks you will see results. I haven't seen a significant change though (maybe a little). You really need to get your teeth proffessionally whitened for a real change but after looking around the price is about £600-700 a session! And only cosmetic dentist surgeries do it and they only do it if you swap to them for about £40 a checkup even if they don't do anything and they have a lot of other cosmetic dental treatments to offer for all kind of problems. It all costs a small fortune though. I wouldn't advise you take the cheap option though. I've seen those teeth bleaching kits in shops like Boots for about £20 but you've got to be 18 and even then do you really want to put bleach in your mouth? Get it done professionally. It's like dying your hair, you can do it yourself but it never looks as good as when it's done properly. Believe me I know about that *feels dry hair from too much dye*

it doesn't work that well, no better than normal toothpaste anyway.
