The ebay auction survival guide.

So you are at the ebay homepage and you are looking for a certain item the page loads up and an add comes up advertising clothes and the title is an eye catcher.

“MEN shop online at ebay!”

Do not let this sway you from your goal men and women are venerable to this deadly trap you cannot have anyone close to you for this task for they will compromise your goal. So you click on the search bar ready to type the item you want the add still catching your eye the first letter of the item is being typed in this case S for Shenmue the add will now be drawing you attention further into its promising pleasure you must now type quicker with agility making sure you do not look at the add directly as you will be sucked into its fantasy world.

The item has been typed and Shenmue is showing in the bar quickly turn away to refresh your self or the trance from the add will take you over completely. So the next page is loading do not think you have got away with this task yet there are many more gruelling challenges to face. The page is blank another trap to try and make you press the back button but you must look in the bottom left corner of the screen the words

“Opening page”

Will be showing and that is your sign to carry on with your quest the page has now opened and there are many options to choose from now you must ask yourself
“What is my price range?”
“How long can I be patient?”
After contemplating these queries you can proceed on your quest to find enlightenment you click on the first item and survey the page. Be careful there are now many traps here and many fall victim. Look at the place bid section to see if there is blue writing saying

“Reserve price not met”

Do not bid unless you have a lot to spend also look at the p+p anything over £5 is not acceptable. So most traps have been avoided and you have bidded now all that threatens your bid has a mind of its own the prowlers are your new threat. When you go to sleep at night all is well with your bid but when you wake up the auction has ended and you have lost this is the scaring mark of the prowlers. There is no way to insure %100 survival from a prowler they use cunning wit and sly tactics to get what they want you must do the same first you will need some certain items.

Coffee
Pepsi
Pork Pies

These will insure that you will stay awake the whole night you must then find a time consuming website and go on it being careful not to close your items window every 5minutes you need to open up this window and use your f5 button to check if your still winning if you do this you have a chance against the prowlers.

So the nights over and you have survived the ebay auction winning your item you have past your test and proved yourself to be cunning and brave.
Congrats.

Heh, that kart toy is cute. THe same item is now being fought over, though the price is around the same level as it started from.

There was an auction for the Tiny Bee controllers earlier on this week, I don't know if you mean that, but I considered bidding on it before thinkling, "Do I really need to spend £100+ on a pair of toy guns?"

I know, it's a rare item, might b worth a lot in the future etc. but I've got a lot of other necessary things to buy at the mo.

Oh, and didn't you sell Skies of Arcadia to me a while back? Back for more torturous random battles, eh? :)

I just spent over £200 on a digi camcorder. Didn't know it would end up so high to be honest, but still cheaper than the rest out there at the mo.

Alternatively, and much healthier, try my far simpler method.

1) Find a free bid sniper program/site
2) Search for your item and add it to your watched items list on My eBay
3) the day before the item ends decide what you want to pay
4) use the bid sniper program/website to set the item up
5) that is all - no late night, not constant checking the item or frantic refreshing, just the knowledge your bid will be placed within seconds of the end leaving most people no chance to bid back if you got the winning bid.

Yeh was good, I enjoyed it.

Being a newbie to eBay I will look out for all your 'hidden hurdles' when I next come to buy something from the realms of eBay junk.
