First up, thank you for participating. For those who don't know what happens, I run all the drivers through Grand Prix 4 and then post the results. To make sure that no one has any advantage, I adjust the settings so that every car and driver is the same.
I try to keep it as close to the real F1 as possible but as I'm using a computer game, I has to improvise. For this season, qualifying will be run over 15 minutes, meaning everyone should get 1 run at least. The race will be run over the full race distance with every incident I see recorded by myself and typed up so everyone knows what has happened during the race.
As the real F1 season is run over 18 races, I shall be doing a full 17 race Championship and then doing an extra race at the end. How the race will be selected, I haven't worked out yet.
Also new this season, I'm running, besides the drivers and constructors championships, a prediction championship. This championship will be run over 18 rounds and is open to everyone except myself, as I sometimes do events in advance in case I have issues to deal with. This championship will be particularly aimed towards those not doing too well in the main championships, in a bid to keep everyone interested.
How the prediction championship works is that I put up a series of questions inside the PREVIEW topic, like this one. All you do is guess the correct answer to the questions. The questions will vary in difficulty and will have various different points totals, depending on the difficulty. The person with the most points at the end will receive 10 points, just like real F1. The top 8 score points and in the result of a tie, there will be a tiebreaker question, which will be almost impossible to predict 100% correctly. If they still cannot be seperated, the first person to put their predictions up will take the points.
Any questions about this or anything else, ask me.
To make sure that I have still have interest, it is essential that you post in one of the topics regularly, otherwise I may be forced to release the drivers to others.

Okay, onto the preview. The previews get better when the season is underway.
The Australian Grand Prix is the opening round of the SR F1 Championship and is the best place to kick off your bid to become World Champion.
Last years race saw Coulthard take pole position ahead of Fisichella, with the future World Champion, Firman, starting the season's opener in 10th. It was a tough qualifying session with the weather being particularly cloudy and a sprinkling of rain making the track slippery.
The race started off dry but it started raining on lap 4 and then turned dry about halfway through. Coulthard from pole position started well and set a new race lap record but tangled with Michael Schumacher and slipped out of the points. It was Fisichella who benefitted as he took his first career win. Second was Raikkonen, who started 6th and third was Firman, in his debut race.
Lap records:
Qualifying: Yoong 1m26.818s (2002)
Race: Coulthard 1m27.719s (2003)
Previous winners:
Webber (2002)
Fisichella (2003)
Top 3 qualifying last year:
