It's 300 + Region 2's - as in actual films and not various other kinds - about 100 region 1's - plus a myriad of other kinds, a few region 3 ones as well. I don't bother counting the region 1 ones because they're all anime and most people haven't heard of them anyway. I keep selling a few off, then buying others, etc so it varies a bit, don't really know how I ended up with them all...

Macross, I'm only one the fourth disc but it is very good - I just don't have the time right now - the storyline, considering it was made a a kids program, is very good and not like today's kiddy crap. The animation, again given the age, is also good and it really is hard to tell that the series was made from splicing 3 Jap Macross title together. I know some people will favour the cleaned up reissue versions over these originals, but I think the slightly grainy look just adds to it, it's what we saw on tv. I've seen one disc a friend has of the cleaned up version and, well, it's just not the same. The music side of Macross doesn't really start until the 2nd-3rd discs with Minmei, and despite the relative simplicity of the song she sings, the moment you hear the song, see images of her singing interspersed with the space battles, you just know this is Macross, and it's damn great.

140 films, so that's not including Family Guy series 1,2 and 3. All are R2 except the amazing Commando, which I got to test my DVD player (now that I know R1 discs work on it, I'll be buying more)
