Is it a good idea to get special earphones for jogging etc? I've seen some that have expanding stuff around the earpiece to stop them from moving etc. Is this a waste of time, as they are rather expensive (nearly 20 nicker) and may be crap quality (I'd rather get some sony ones).

Your ears? Do they have satalite navigation or are they just extremely flexible ;)
If you put a little bit of tape on the back of the phones and to the top of your inner ear they should stay pretty stable, mine do.

I could give it a try I suppose. They'd have to stay very still though.
My ears always stay extremely cold when running and its mainly my kneck and forehead which sweat the most, this is probably because its very exposed where I go running and the wind blows very strong at times without anything to absorb it outside of me :)
but doesn't sellotape fall off when you sweat?
Call me a cheapskate but I use celotape when I go running with ear pieces. Not lots of the stuff to make me look extremely bearded but a tiny bit so they don't fall out.
