Is it a good idea to get special earphones for jogging etc? I've seen some that have expanding stuff around the earpiece to stop them from moving etc. Is this a waste of time, as they are rather expensive (nearly 20 nicker) and may be crap quality (I'd rather get some sony ones).

Info appreciated!

Are the nice ones you're talking about the Sony Fontopia range? If so, buy them without hesitation! Sound quality is just plain class, plus the design eliminates alot of outside noise. The only downside is that, well its hard to explain ... because of the snug fit with the ears, sound travels up the wires from rubbing against clothing and the like. So you can get the occasional muffled thud or scrape noise intruding on your sound. But hell, I wander along a busy dual carridgeway every morning and they all but eliminate outside noise. They're pretty good. The only other thing that you could possibly need is a small clip, to stop the headphones from being dragged out of your ears.

No, I wear my full size headphones and watch other people jogging. I do wear them on a rowing machine but that's a bit different really. They stick to my head anyway.

That's my mum and dads way of looking at things, I am a study of the school of "you get what you pay for" thought.

I've always found sony products to be excellent, and although you may be right, my tendancy would be to pay a little extra for those.

the ones I'm looking at are about £16, how much are the alba ones you're talking about?

You could even run with some decks on your shoulder and a mixer under your arm. Kids these days want everything just perfect...

Big earphones? the size is pretty universal isn't it? unless you mean headphones, which would look quite frankly ridiculous. :D

Can't you just get some big earphones? They sound better anyway.
