Super Nintendo Entertainment System...DAMMIT! That’s not what I mean!
Failure...Nope!
Rubbish...Sure wasn’t!
Quality games...Yep, that’s more like it!
Great hardware...Uh huh, your getting there!
Success...YES! That’s right! SUCCESS!
The SNES, in my view, was the greatest console which ever graced the Earth that we lived on, the greatest console ever! Some may argue but you can’t sway my decsion.
Anyway, why am I bringing up the SNES? Its not because it’s the greatest console on Earth that was home to some of the best retro games ever, its not even because my Cat loved to sleep on it! It’s none of that! The reason I have made you think about why the SNES was such a great console is because it is coming back!
And when I say it is coming back I don’t mean no ‘next generation’ SNES 128bit, I don’t mean a update of the simple but effective controller, what I mean is that it is coming back holding the name of greatest handheld ever to hit the gaming scene.
The Gameboy Advance – A portable SNES in my mind!
But is that bad? No it sure isn’t!
On June 22nd (mark it on your calendar kids) the Gameboy Advance is released in Europe, and along with it comes a batch of hefty release titles made by the great Nintendo themselves and some 3rd party developers! The Gameboy Advance is not capable of displaying 3D but is 32bit like the Playstation and so SNES games have been resurrected into Gameboy glory and made playable on the run!
One such example is Mario Kart, a SNES classic and Super Mario World 2! These games have been remade from the SNES versions and look even better then before! With its £79.99 price tag a tramp could afford this beauty! Who would want to miss out on this opportunity? Plus Nintendo has new technology up their sleeves now!
So don’t miss out on the rebuilt SNES! Its light, fits in your pocket and yes, can even be played in a field! Don’t worry, we can’t catch foot and mouth! So, really, you can play absolutely ANYWHERE!
JOY!
I dint know that you had written one like I did.
If it was anyway similar to yours then i apoligise!
...Or has someone already said that?
The one problem is that it still doesn't have a backlight. It would be nice to even have just an option to turn the backlight on and off, thereby saving battery life, but no.
Fear not, though, as the worm light and other peripherals fit in the same sized slot as the one on the gameboy, so you can still get your illumination from an external source, very useful at night in the car (obviously, while someone else is driving.)
Those were the days, not a care in the world, GCSE's just finished. Playing Bomberman all summer!
Did you steal the idea?
Just wondering, I am still cooling down so I won't respond for another day
