Yep, there is, but the operation is not worth the risk while my condition is manageable. The tumour is attached to my facial nerve, so removing it has a high risk of leaving my face paralysed. There's no hearing to be saved because I've already lost it completely in the ear. And theres a high chance of recurrence because its so widespread in my ear, chances are they wouldnt be able to get it all out anyways.
OK, naive question, but is there no way of fully removing it?
I'll have to get one taken.
In bad cases like mine, its a benign tumour that erodes bone in the ear, destroying hearing, and in worst cases can infect the brain, causing meningitis and brain abcesses. It kills about 1 in every 100,000 sufferers.
I'll try and find one, or get one taken then. Might take a bit though.

Lol. cholesteatoma. The medication fights infection and slows down the growth of the c-toma, easing dizziness and stuff like that. Makes me sick as a dog sometimes though.
