I'm watching A.I. (artificial intelligence) as i right this, and i was wondering if you think robots will ever replace the love of a real child to a parent?

I think A.I. is a genious of a film. And i think that the acting seems so real and from that i think it could be possible.

What do you think.

I swear some of the users on this forum are chatbots, or something like that. *eyes everyone suspiciously, reaches for future-lazer*

You could smack a robot child and programme it not to complain. So yeah, I'd love a robot child.

I wouldn't mind owning my own android dolly bird programmed to do the cooking, washing, cleaning and, er, erotic chores.

unless they make it to proper perfection, with skin and all that it could possibly happen. But i doubt humans would go far enough to make humanoids.

No I doubt it. Even if the child is exactly child like as in the film, the fundamental differences of how a child and robot are made up will be an everlasting barrier; one is based entirely from carbon, can bleed and has flesh right to the bone; the other is composed of complex man made circuitry.

Additionally, mothers will just react and feel more comfortable with their own offspring, and obviously you can't have robots coming out of a human female parent.
